Abstract: The new version of a recently developed computer code ATA that enables the calculation of static spherical NLTE stellar model atmospheres in radiative equilibrium is presented. The code uses the accelerated lambda iteration (ALI) technique. The radiative transfer equation is incorporated into the constraint equations of hydrostatic, radiative, and statistical equilibrium. The radial depth equation is also solved, allowing for changes of the radial distance from iteration to iteration. In addition, the plane-parallel model atmospheres can be calculated with the same code, too. Several calculations of stellar model atmospheres of hot stars in both geometries are presented and compared.
