Paper: The structure of the envelopes of maser stars
Volume: 9, Cool Stars, Stellar Systems, and the Sun: Sixth Cambridge Workshop

Abstract: A review is given of interferometric observations of masers found in the circumstellar envelopes of evolved stars, focusing on the geometry and velocity structure of the envelopes. It is concluded that most red giants and supergiants lose mass in radially expanding axisymmetric outflows, supporting the interacting wind model for the formation of planetary nebulae.
