Abstract: It has been known for some time that Altair possesses a relatively well developed X-ray corona consisting of a somewhat unusual low-temperature plasma. The VLA measurement of the upper limit of the radio luminosity (LR less than 6 x 10 to the 12th erg/s/Hz) shows that the ratio LR/Lbol is much smaller than in active stars on the lower Main Sequence. However, the current upper limit to the ratio LR/LX is only insignificantly smaller than in coronae which are supported by magnetic processes.
