Abstract: In this paper we will discuss the basic concepts of Information Architecture and its applications to library webpages, with particular regard to astronomy libraries, of which examples will be provided. The focus will be on the organization and labeling systems of Italian astronomical observatories - library webpages. The fundamental elements of IA are discussed, with special attention to library applications and implications, and test cases are analyzed.
