Abstract: We present a mean spectral energy distribution (SED) constructed from 15 low-redshift, broad-line quasars using spectroscopic data from the ultraviolet (UV) to the mid-infrared (IR). The mean SED shows more detailed features than previous work. We find a correlation between the UV-optical continuum slope and mid-IR luminosity that we interpret as indicating the existence of line-of-sight dust and reddening even in very blue quasars. We also show that the equivalent width of the 10 μm silicates feature is an important parameter of the optical Eigenvector 1 relationships.
