Abstract: A brief review of stellar pulsation in rotating stars is given, discussing the perturbation theory of rotation for slowly rotating stars, a numerical method used for rapidly rotating stars, and the traditional approximation for low frequency modes. As a formation mechanism of viscous decretion discs around Be stars, the wave-meanflow interaction formalism is applied to low frequency modes excited in SPB stars, to show that the surface rotation of the star is accelerated as a result of angular momentum redistribution by the oscillation modes.
