| Abstract: |
We have applied a linear regression method of stellar magnetic field
diagnosis to real high-resolution spectropolarimetric observations.
Observations of the magnetic star HD 94660 obtained with the FORS1
instrument at the VLT and the ESPaDOnS instrument at the CFHT were used
for this investigation. The linear regression results for the
high-resolution spectrum are in agreement with both the results of a
least squares deconvolution analysis of the same observation, and the
results of the linear regression method applied to a low-resolution
spectrum, however the systematic uncertainties are not yet fully
understood. |
