Abstract: The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope is opening a new era for gamma-ray extragalactic astronomy. In the first months of science operations Fermi has already detected several hundreds of gamma-ray sources located away from the galactic plane (|b|>10) that can be confidently associated with known Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs). Most of them are blazars that where not previously known at GeV energies. In this contribution we summarize the gamma-ray properties of these sources.
