Abstract: Magnetic field evolution above the NOAA 9077 active region is considered before the flare on 2000 July 14. The system of 3D MHD resistive equations is solved for a compressible plasma. The anisotropy of thermal conductivity in the magnetic field is taken into account. It is shown that a vertical current sheet (CS) appears in the corona due to disturbances that are produced at the photospheric magnetic field changing before the flare. The j x B / c force in the CS can accelerate plasma flux upwards and produce a coronal mass ejection (CME).
