Abstract: The ACF analysis of 24117 seconds of CHANDRA observations of AM Her has shown the presence of two "shot noise" components of variability with characteristic times of 174 and 9.8 s, in addition to two components corresponding to two-hump orbital variability. These components are statistically independent, rejecting a hypothesis of "two-side" shape of individual flares. These two characteristic times may correspond to the fall time of plasma "spaghetti" and to smaller blobs formed as a result of a magnetohydrodynamic instability.
