Abstract: We conducted spatially resolved observations of CO line and millimeter-wavelength continuum emission in two GRB host galaxies at z = 0.41 and z = 0.81 by using ALMA. We detected CO line and continuum emission from the two hosts. This is the first case for detecting molecular gas emission in GRB hosts. We find that the bursts happened in regions rich in dust, but not particularly rich in molecular gas. The ratio of molecular gas to dust is significantly lower than in Milky Way, nearby and distant star-forming galaxies, suggesting that much of the dense gas has been dissipated by other massive stars.
