Abstract: The question of star formation at low densities is of paramount importance for subjects such as the growth of galactic disks, the formation of low surface brightness galaxies, the nature of XUV disks, star formation in low metallicity gas and threshold issues. We briefly review some recent results concerning star formation at low densities.
