Abstract: Asteroseismology has successfully been applied to our Sun, white dwarfs, Cepheids and a few other classes of variable stars. The successful application of asteroseismology depends on the determination of the pulsation spherical harmonics, a task that has largely been unsuccessful in pulsating subdwarf B stars. In this paper, we investigate pulsating subdwarf B stars in close binaries as a useful tool for identifying pulsation modes.
