Dear Editor, As an editor, you will need all the editor and author instructions and macros. The use of all of these files will become evident when you read the editor and author instruction manuals (aspeditor2006.pdf and aspauthor2006.pdf). The instructions explain, step by step, how to prepare papers using the ASP style file (asp2006.sty) and the paper template (asptemplate.tex). General instructions, which go through each step of the entire publishing process, are available online at http://www.aspbooks.org/editors_information/. See the links for each step under "Editors and Authors" in the Navigation Bar on the left. The macros and LaTeX-specific instructions have been developed in LaTeX 2e by Terry Mahoney, LaTeX computer consultant for the ASPCS, located in Spain. If you have problems with any of the macros, templates and LaTeX-specific instructions, please contact him directly at tjm@iac.es for further help. Please send a copy to aspcstech@byu.edu for our information. The general instructions on the website have been developed by Enid Livingston, Publication Manager for the Conference Series, and Lisa Roper, Technical Specialist for the ASPCS. If you have questions regarding the general instructions, please contact Enid directly at aspcs@byu.edu or by phone at (801) 422-2111. Please note: If an author or editor sends any files by FTP, they should always set the FTP to binary (using the “bin” command). If they don't do this, the files may not be transferred correctly. The following describes each file contained in the ASPeditor.zip file, grouped by files only needed by editors and files needed by both editors and authors: File Name Description The first group of files are for editors only (files needed by authors are below): ASPreadme.txt Text file listing each file and what it is does aspeditor2006.tex “ASPCS Instructions for Editors Using LaTeX 2e Markup”–this file is especially helpful to use as a working example of how to create a paper using our LaTeX template and style file aspeditor2006.pdf “ASPCS Instructions for Editors Using LaTeX 2e Markup”–PDF format, useful as searchable, bookmarked reference page_i.eps page_ii.eps page_iii.eps page_iv.eps Supplementary image files called by aspeditor2006.tex page_i_vol350.eps page_ii_vol350.eps page_iii_vol350.eps page_iv_vol350.eps aspvolume.tex ASPCS Main Book Template logo_bw.eps ASP Logo for Title Page copyrightpage.tex Copyright Page Template dedication.tex Dedication Page Template (ignored by default, see Editor's Instructions) foreword.tex Foreword Template preface.tex Preface Template participants.tex List of Participants Template participants.att List of Participants Input File conf_photo.tex Conference Photo Template group1.eps.gz, group1.eps Sample Conference Photos apptopub.doc apptopub.wpd Application to Publish apptopub.pdf maillist.xls Participant's Mailing List form for shipping of books and electronic access–Excel format maillist.txt Participant's Mailing List form–text format submitform.doc submitform.wpd Submission Form submitform.pdf editorcklist.doc editorcklist.wpd Editor's Final Checklist editorcklist.pdf Authors and editors will both need the following files.
