Invitation to Publish

The ASP is an international, non-profit, scientific and educational organization established in 1889 dedicated to disseminating astronomical information, among other things.  The ASP Conference Series, established in 1988, is the largest book publication series in the world dedicated entirely to publishing the proceedings from astronomical conferences. Conferences that publish with us benefit from the following:

  • Access to all the major astronomical departments in the world.
  • Publishing on our electronic site while the printed volume is in production. This is typically 1-2 months in advance of the printed volume. We encourage you to examine our e-book site, www.aspbooks.org.
  • Combining their research with the publications of major conferences all over the world. Our published research is easy for others to locate, especially the younger astronomers who often use our volumes to learn about the latest developments in their field.
  • Competitive pricing. As a non-profit organization, our prices to conference attendees, individuals and libraries are typically lower than other book publishers.
  • A permanent record of your proceedings both in hard copy and electronic form. We additionally submit all pertinent bibliographic information to ADS, linking your proceedings with other astronomical research.
You may obtain an application by downloading the
