Abstract: The x-ray image of the powerful radio galaxy Cygnus A contains several types of morphological structures. We describe the methods used to estimate the parameters of (a) a modified King distribution for the hot cluster gas; (b) an unresolved core source; and (c) the features which coincide with the radio hot spots. For the hot spots, we have used previous knowledge concerning the high brightness areas of the radio emission since we believe the hot spot x-ray emission is non-thermal.
