Abstract: Consideration is given to the determination of the terminal velocity of a stellar wind (v-infinity) for early-type stars. It is suggested that estimates of v-infinity for early-type stars are provided by the violet edge of zero residual intensity in saturate P Cygni profiles and by the central velocity asymptotically approached by narrow abosprtion features. These estimators are used to determine v-infinity for 181 O satrs, 71 early B supergiants, and 35 WR stars. The preliminary results of the determinations suggest that there is a correlation between v-infinity and the photospheric escape velocity, as well as a correlation between v-infinity and effective temperature.
