Abstract: NLTE model atmospheres are presented for hot stars that avoid the artificial division between hydrostatic photosphere and supersonic stellar wind envelope. The models are of spherical geometry and extend over the entire sub- and supersonic atmosphere. They need only stellar effective temperature, gravity, and radius - defined at the inner atmospheric boundary - as free parameters and are in principle self-consistent. The models yield stellar energy distributions and hydrogen and helium line spectra. First calculations for the 04f star Zeta Puppis are presented.
