Abstract: Recent critical revision of the oxygen abundances in Planetary Nebulae (PNe) by Perinotto, Morbidelli & Scatarzi (2004) yields the gradient in oxygen Δ[O/H]/ΔR = −0.02±0.01 dex/kpc (Perinotto & Morbidelli, 2006), much flatter than older estimates Δ[O/H]/ΔR = −0.07 dex/ kpc and also flatter than current estimates from HII regions -0.04 to -0.07 (Deharveng et al. 2000, Caplan et al. 2000).
