Abstract: Radial Velocity follow-up is essential to confirm or exclude the planetary nature of a transiting companion as well as to determine its accurate mass. We present here some elements of an efficient Doppler follow-up strategy based on high-resolution spectroscopy devoted to the characterization of transiting candidates. Some Doppler facilities involved in the follow-up of ground-based and space-based photometric surveys are presented. Performances of the mass characterization of earth-like transiting exoplanets are discussed.
