| Abstract: |
We are thrilled to work alongside members of the South African Astronomical Observatory to support their efforts to bring astronomy to classrooms across the country. Recent efforts have included creation of mathematical problems with astronomy contexts to support high school teachers' implementation of relevant math curricula while encouraging learners' interest in science. Additionally, we are working on several tactile projects for students including 3--D printing of different planetary surfaces. As we continue to support local efforts, we are looking for additional materials that can be easily used in classrooms. |
