Abstract: In 2016, NASA's Science Mission Directorate (SMD) instituted a fundamental change in how NASA science would ``share the story, the science, and the adventure of NASA's scientific explorations of our home planet, the solar system, and the universe beyond, through stimulating and informative activities and experiences created by experts, delivered effectively and efficiently to learners of many backgrounds via proven conduits, thus providing a return on the public's investment in NASA's scientific research'' (National Aeronautics and Space Administration [NASA], 2014, p. 102). This was the genesis of NASA's award-winning Science Activation Program (SciAct). With 48 active teams, SciAct has impacted millions of learners of all ages and backgrounds in the U.S. and across the globe, igniting the spark for science learning. These competitively selected teams form a cooperative network that meet learners' needs through a variety of resources and opportunities, allowing authentic connections across NASA science disciplines including astrophysics, biological and physical science, Earth science, heliophysics, and planetary science. This paper highlights some of the work and impact SciAct does to share NASA science.
