Abstract: The Italian Center for Astronomical Archive (IA2) manage the NADIR system, which hold a large amount of astronomical data from different geographically distributed telescopes. Therefore, controlling the various activities across the different hosts could be complicated. In the event of an unexpected problem with specific data happen, NADIR is not configured to monitoring or control logs of stored data to find eventual users modifications, being harder to find root problems. For that reason, here we propose a NADIR integrated local logging system, that may collect and aggregate different types of logs in one central location and have a deep insight about the data flow behavior into the archives. The present system for monitoring and controlling logging help us to prevent downtime on our sites and servers, meanwhile it contributes in the preservation of scientific astronomical data.
