Abstract: We studied the formation mechanism of molecular loops in the galactic central region by three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulations. The reconnection-condensation model of solar prominences has been extended to the galactic center by incorporating the interstellar cooling/heating. We found that dense, arch-like filaments are formed 100 pc above the galactic plane.
