Abstract: The current RHESSI X-ray telescope and the future STIX instrument on Solar Orbiter measure X-rays originating from solar flares in the form of Fourier components, called visibilities. Specialized algorithms are then used to reconstruct spatial images from visibilities. We present a new Compressed Sensing-based algorithm with Gaussian dictionaries for image reconstructions. The algorithm requires less algorithm- and source-specific parameter tuning, and yields physically plausible results even for noisy data.
