Abstract: We consider a variant of realization of very high resolution, when the Fabry–Perot interferometer (IFP) with an open entrance is used in conjunction with a diffraction grating. Such interferometric spectrograph greatly expands (in comparison with the classical IFP), the wavelength interval recorded without orders overlapping (up to ≈10 Å), which seems quite sufficient for the study of the profiles of selected spectral lines. Since the spectral resolution is determined by the parameters of IFP, the dimensions of the device are much smaller in comparison to the dimensions of the diffraction spectrograph.
