Abstract: Photometry of star forming regions (SFRs) in nearby galaxies allows studying properties of dust and gas at different metallicities. However, the results of photometry can depend on the choice of apertures which in turn is based on an identification of SFRs. In this work, we tested automatic methods of identification of candidate SFRs in archival infrared (IR) and radio observational data for NGC2976. We found that the automatic methods are not suitable for SFRs identification in the near-IR range.
