Abstract: The 89.087 GHz HCN maser has been detected in IRAS 15082-4808. The velocity shift of this maser has been measured as –2.0±0.9 km s-1 with respect to the systemic velocity of the envelope. The variation of the HCN maser intensity with pulsation phase has been investigated across all ten known AGB sources of this maser. Comparisons with stellar model atmospheres constrains the formation region to between 2 and 4 stellar radii.
