| Abstract: |
We investigate the physical properties of the nearby astrometric binary μ Cas
based on a spectroscopic analysis and evolutionary calculations.
The chemical composition of the μ Cas system has been determined based on high resolution spectroscopy from BOES.
Combining our spectroscopic analysis with observations from Hipparcos and CHARA,
we determine the evolutionary status of μ Cas.
With well-constrained stellar parameters, the internal structure and frequency modes have also been calculated.
The ultimate goal of this study is to describe the physical processes inside stars through a comprehensive modeling. |
