Abstract: Light variability of magnetic chemically peculiar stars is caused by the presence of spots with abnormal abundance of some chemical elements on the surface of a rotating star. These abundance spots are being at the same time the photometric features with uneven brightness resulting from an anomalous energy distribution caused by different abundances. We tried to derive the photometric parameters of the spots and determine the intensity distribution inside a spot in the spectral region of 350–550 nm. We created a model for describing the light curves and achieved a good agreement with the observed data. From the simulation of spots we developed a tool deriving the spot parameters directly from the shape of observed mCP light curves.
