Abstract: We analyzed the vibrational stability of metal-free and metal-poor low-mass Main Sequence stars due to the ε-mechanism. Since outer convection zones of such stars are limited to the very outer layers, uncertainty in the treatment of convection does not affect the result significantly. We found that the dipole low order g-modes definitely become unstable due to the ε-mechanism for Z ≲ 6 × 10-4.
