Abstract: Beryllium and Fe abundances show a linear relation with a slope very close to one in metal-poor stars. Towards [Fe/H] ∼ –3.00, however, there is some evidence that the relation flattens out. This might be an increase in the dispersion or a sign of a possible plateau. We are redetermining Be in a sample of extremely metal-poor stars and preliminary results seem to support an increased scatter below [Fe/H] ∼ –3.00. We speculate that in the scenario where Be is a good tracer of time this scatter is an expected feature and reflects the early inhomogeneity of star formation in the Galaxy.
