Abstract: Secondary eclipse measurements provide information on the thermal properties of exoplanet atmospheres. Here we summarise the results of ground-based K-band observations of the secondary eclipse of the planet TrES-3b (see de Mooij & Snellen 2009). The observations were made using the LIRIS instrument on the William Herschell Telescope. The secondary eclipse was detected at a level of -0.241±0.043% (∼6σ), corresponding to a brightness temperature of 2040±125 K.
