Abstract: For over a decade, the ULIRG Arp 220 has been the object of a high sensitivity VLBI campaign at a wavelength of 18 cm to observe the evolution of a cluster of unresolved radio sources, originally identified as Type IIn radio supernovae by Smith et al. (1998). The results of the most recent VLBI observations of Arp 220 are summarized here.
