Abstract: We present three years of longitudinal data showing how we can engage underrepresented high-school youth in out-of-school time research science. Over three years our participant population has evolved to be more reflective of the Boston student population as a result of changes in our recruitment strategy. In addition, changes in 4 major program areas helped all participant populations move toward our intended outcome of better understanding of the process of research science.
