Abstract: We have obtained IRS high resolution spectroscopy of two HI/HII/CO complexes in two dwarf irregular galaxies, and we use these data to examine the interaction of massive stars with the interstellar medium in these tiny, but ubiquitous systems. Specifically, we measure nebular fine structure lines, molecular lines from warm H2, and various PAH features, when present, in order to probe the hardness of the stellar radiation field, the electron density of the nebulae, and the physical environment in which PAHs are being heated.
