Abstract: The Spectra of Seyfert2 galaxies all show similar line emission, with less than 0.8 dex variation in line ratios like [OIII]5007/H-beta or [NII]6583/H-alpha. This tight clustering on line diagnostic diagrams has not been explained consistently by previous single component photoionisation models and has only been matched using more complex geometries. Here we put forward a new model of dusty, radiation-pressure dominated photoionised clouds which gives a physical explanation for the observed line ratios and for the tight clustering seen on line diagnostic diagrams.
