Abstract: The quiescent light curve of the soft X-ray transient GS 2000+25 is dominated by ellipsoidal variation due to the distorted shape of the secondary star. By modeling the light curve we were able to put tight constraints on the inclination (57circ < i < 65circ) and also place a lower limit to the mass of the central object of 5.66 Modot, which is well above the maximum mass of a slowly rotating neutron star.
