Abstract: We present the study of the orientation of the accretion disks, traced by the radio jets, relative to their host galaxy disks in Seyfert galaxies, and dust disks in radio galaxies. We show that the simplest expectation that accretion disks should be aligned with the host galaxy disks is not confirmed by the observations. We explore several explanations for this result, that have implications for the feeding of the nuclei and structure of the accretion disks.
