Abstract: More pieces of evidence are found that the intranetwork fields are intrinsically weak. They contribute the most of solar magnetic flux. Further weak field components, currently below the detection capability, are implied by the small-scale activity on the quiet Sun. To detect the weak field elements, in addition to having very high angular resolution, the sensitivity of the magnetograph is a decisive factor.
