Abstract: Broad band B V R I, CCD photometry and spectrophotometry observations are presented for the blazar OJ 287. A nightly monitoring was carried out at San Pedro Martir and Beijing Observatories for five nights during minimum brightness of OJ287 (January 1998). The observations are nearly simultaneous (actually sequential due to day/night difference) and the spectral range covers approximately the same range as the broad band photometry. We report both continuum and line variability, and discuss our results.
