| Abstract: |
CI Cam has a pure emission-line spectrum at optical wavelengths. The permitted metal lines and the forbidden lines of N, O and Fe II arise in two kinematically distinct shells around CI Cam. The broad, asymmetric emission lines of H and He II probably arise in a strong wind. |
