| Abstract: |
We present preliminary uncalibrated color magnitude diagrams (CMDs) for the globular clusters # 1, 3, 4 and 5 in the Fornax dwarf spheroidal galaxy (dSph). The photometry typically extends to two magnitudes below the horizontal branch (HB), and in cluster # 1 it almost reaches the main sequence turnoff. The detection of several RR Lyrae variables in the two clusters (# 1 and 3) with suitable data is a further confirmation that they are bona fide old globulars and that the cluster system of this galaxy is significantly older than the bulk of its field stellar population. |
