Abstract: Interferometry combined with spectroscopy and spectrophotometry yields almost all stellar parameters for binary systems. The Sydney University Stellar Interferometer (SUSI) together with the Sydney University Spectrograph (SUSPECT) will be able to measure these fundamental properties. For interferometrically resolved double-lined spectroscopic binaries this method will allow an independent determination of the distance to these systems and will make acontribution to the mass-luminosity relationship.
